About this venue
The open-air performance room at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre is one of Windhoek's most useful programme-led queer addresses. Drag Night Namibia brought Motown glamour here in March 2026, the Pride Kiki Ball filled it with ballroom in June, and FNCC followed with an LGBTQIA+ film series in July. Outside those dates it belongs to a wider arts centre, so check the title on the calendar rather than assuming every evening carries the same crowd.

The room follows the event, not daily bar traffic. Drag and Pride nights use a ticket check and can bunch close to showtime; cinema sessions are calmer. Arrive 30 minutes early when sightline or seating matters.

Choose a named Drag Night Namibia, Pride Week or LGBTQIA+ cinema listing. The 2026 Pride Kiki Ball and Motown show demonstrate the room at full queer energy; an unrelated FNCC booking will have a completely different audience.

No permanent code. Film nights are casual; drag and ballroom programmes reward expressive looks without requiring guests to compete. Outdoor evening air can cool quickly, so build the outfit around a layer you can keep.
Staff inclusion
FNCC programmed a three-film LGBTQIA+ series in 2026 and repeatedly hosted Drag Night Namibia and Pride work. That is concrete institutional evidence, although accessibility, age limits and welfare arrangements still need to be checked per event.
