Bar Le Stud is Montreal's legendary, unapologetic epicenter for the hairy, leather-clad, and body-positive corner of the Gay Village. Holding it down since 1995, this authentic staple celebrates its 30th anniversary as the city’s premier sanctuary for daddies, bears, cubs, and the leather/fetish community. 🐻 The Vibe: Thick, dark, and wonderfully testosterone-heavy. Le Stud is a massive, multi-level maze of pure masculine camaraderie where body hair is celebrated and pretense is left at the door. Downstairs features classic pool tables and a chilled-out dive bar aura perfect for cheap daytime beer specials and chatting. Upstairs transforms on the weekends into a sweaty, high-energy disco dance floor pumping out fierce club beats. It is the proud official home for BLUF (Breeches Leather Uniform Fanatics) meetups, host to rowdy Sunday Tea Dances, and legendary for its unhinged Monday and Tuesday night VOX karaoke. There is also a back patio courtyard for catching a breeze between drinks.
