Ottawa's queer scene is compact, bilingual, and more interesting than the capital-city stereotype suggests. Drag, pub nights, community groups, sexual-health services, and a long activist history sit close together, so a visitor can understand the city quickly without reducing it to one rainbow block. The energy is friendly rather than enormous, with enough regulars to feel local and enough major events to occasionally turn the volume all the way up.

T's, community services, restaurants, and the Pride street festival all sit in or near this orbit. House of TARG adds a playful mixed-night option farther south in Old Ottawa South.
