About this venue

After a five-year hiatus following a devastating fire, QBar (often written as Q Bar) made a triumphant, "hedonistic" return to the Castro in late 2024. It has quickly reclaimed its status as the neighborhood’s most inclusive and high-energy dance hub. Known for its sleek, "clubby" interior and compact dance floor, it’s the place where the music is loud, the lights are neon, and the community comes to celebrate being back together. Vibe: Intense, social, and unapologetically fun. It’s a "hot" spot with a younger-leaning crowd, featuring nightly DJs spinning high-energy dance music, house, and pop remixes. It’s smaller in size, which only adds to the high-voltage, packed-house energy.
