Transform1060
About this venue
If you're looking for the industrial heart of San Francisco’s kink scene, welcome to Transform1060. Formerly known as The Catalyst, this worker-owned, non-profit community space in SOMA is a dedicated sanctuary for leather, kink, and fetish education and play. It’s not just a club; it’s a mission-driven home for historically marginalized groups, prioritizing trans-inclusivity and queer safety above all else. Vibe: Sex-positive, educational, and raw. The space features two levels with dimly lit play areas, slings, beds, and a "porn lounge" for men’s parties, but also hosts bright, community-focused daytime events like the Fetish Flea.

Venue intelligence
Know before you go
Best arrival window
Transform1060 — The queue depends on the night's theme, audience and capacity. Popular formats are easiest near opening, after you have checked the exact door and dress rules.
Busiest time
Choose by the exact adult theme—underwear, fetish, naked and audience-specific sessions can turn Transform1060 into very different nights.
Locals vs visitors
Transform1060 feels local first—a broadly queer crowd, trans and non-binary guests, and leather and fetish regulars, familiar faces and neighbourhood regulars. Bigger events broaden the room, but it is not built as a tourist-only stop.
What to bring or wear
Transform1060 — Dress for the announced adult theme. Underwear, sports kit, leather, fetish gear or nudity may be part of the format, so the event page has the final word.
Safety and inclusion
Transform1060's queer identity is built into the room or programme, so LGBTQ+ guests are the intended community rather than an afterthought.
