About this venue

Boomerang is the "chameleon" of La Nogalera. By day, it’s a chilled-out spot to grab a coffee or a cocktail on their massive terrace, but as the sun sets, it morphs into a high-energy music bar. It’s known for having a very loyal local following and a "no-attitude" policy. The vibe is a mix of pop-disco nostalgia and modern hits, attracting a diverse crowd that spans the entire queer spectrum. It’s the kind of place that always "brings you back" (hence the name!) because the staff makes you feel like a regular on your very first visit.

Know before you go

Typical queue

Boomerang opens around 17:30–18:00 and is easiest right then. The fountain-side tables fill from 20:00 on Friday through Sunday; expect 10–15 minutes for a terrace seat at the busiest point. It is usually closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Best night

Friday, Saturday or Sunday at 19:00 is Boomerang’s best hour: the Pueblo Blanco terrace is full, but you can still talk before dinner crowds and late nightlife take over. Monday is the low-key alternative.

Locals vs visitors

The mix is broad and unusually relaxed: LGBTQ+ locals, long-stay visitors, couples, solo drinkers and people on their way to or from dinner in Pueblo Blanco. The terrace feels more like a neighbourhood square than a gay-club pre-party.

Dress code in practice

Dress for a good terrace drink: shorts or trousers, a tee, shirt or dress and comfortable sandals. Carry cash as a practical backup; it keeps the first round simple.

Staff inclusion

Gill and David are why this bar has such a loyal queer following. They have organised Pride activity, know the local scene and make a first-time visitor feel included in the conversation instead of left at the edge of the terrace.
