Originally swinging its doors open way back in the mid-90s, this intimate, 120-capacity pocket rocket has entered a roaring, radical new chapter. Forget high-maintenance, bank-breaking velvet-rope lounges; Ratz is a free-entry, unapologetically sleazy-chic neighborhood parlor where the counters and tables are considered safe for climbing. Powered by a heavy, custom-fitted Martin Audio sound system, it trades generic radio pop for deep musical exploration—ranging from Global South electronic beats and jungle to South African pop, kwaito, and late-night house.
