Know before you go
Entry wait
Advance tickets begin at R100. Guest-list requests do not guarantee admission, so arrive early with your ticket and original matching photo ID.
Best arrival time
Doors are at 16:00; arrive in daylight for the rooftop, lower queue pressure and the full rooftop-to-main-room changeover.
Attendee mix
Queer Johannesburg, allies, costume maximalists, rooftop socialisers and late-night dancers moving between the main floor and Bubble Room.
Dress code in practice
A Halloween alter ego is the point. Costumes are encouraged, while standard safety screening and venue rules still apply.
Host and security inclusion
Rush is queer-led and ally-friendly, with explicit removal consequences for discrimination, harassment, unwanted sexual conduct and intimidation.
