Venue Detail
My Sister's Room
About this venue
History, resilience, and pure, unfiltered sapphic power collide right here. My Sister's Room (MSR) isn't just a bar—it is a foundational monument to the Southern queer community. Operating since 1996, it stands proudly as the longest-running lesbian bar in the South and one of the precious few remaining lesbian-dedicated spaces in the entire country. Spanning two high-energy floors and anchored by a massive outdoor patio complete with an LED wall, MSR completely shatters the myth that lesbian spaces are quiet neighborhood pubs.

Venue intelligence
Know before you go
Typical queue
Mid-week nights are highly accessible with immediate entry. Friday and Saturday nights post-11:00 PM see heavy lines snaking through Midtown's entertainment corridor.
Best night
Saturdays after 10:30 PM to catch their premier dance showcases featuring "The Sirens" (their legendary house dancers), or any holiday weekend hosting Atlanta Black Pride, where MSR functions as a historical ground zero for parties
Locals vs visitors
While explicitly women-owned and fiercely dedicated to queer women, trans, and non-binary individuals, MSR is deeply intersectional and warmly welcomes the entire LGBTQIA+ spectrum.
Dress code in practice
Trend-forward, casual, and expressive. Mesh crops, streetwear, hats, button-downs, and plenty of leather/denim dominate the floor.
Staff inclusion
This is an intersectional sanctuary that heavily emphasizes a "safe space for all" code of conduct. The venue explicitly identifies as a transgender-safe space.
