Opened all the way back in 1967, Ochsengarten (affectionately known to generations of men simply as "The Ox") is Germany’s oldest leather bar and an absolute living monument to queer history. Tucked safely beneath a traditional German tavern facade in the Glockenbachviertel, the interior is a beautifully compact, cave-like saloon draped in decades of worldwide fetish posters. It completely strips away the high-gloss vanity of modern circuit clubs. Freddie Mercury himself was a regular fixture here during his iconic Munich years.
