Venue Detail
Warehouse Project
About this venue
Welcome to the undisputed industrial powerhouse of European clubbing. While The Warehouse Project (WHP) is a seasonal juggernaut running exclusively from September through New Year's Day, it houses what has become the crown jewel of the UK's annual queer calendar: Homobloc. Taking over the almost impossibly massive, 10,000-capacity Depot Mayfield (a sprawling, abandoned historic railway station), this event is pure, magnificent sonic madness. The production is monstrous—blinding industrial strobes, thick smoke cannons, and towering brick walls shaking beneath world-class electronic music, hard techno, and house.

Venue intelligence
Know before you go
Typical queue
Because the venue processes up to 10,000 ravers a night, lines can be an absolute test of patience. Security, ID scanning (strict Challenge 25 policy), and sniffer dog checks are incredibly thorough—expect a 30 to 60-minute wait.
Best night
The mandatory, unmissable dates are the designated Homobloc festival Saturdays in autumn, alongside secondary queer-vibrating electronic events like La Discothèque or the Glitterbox showcases.
Locals vs visitors
During its specialized queer events, it brings out an incredibly beautiful, massive, and diverse intersection of gays, lesbians, trans folks, non-binary clubbers, fetish dressers, and electronic music purists* flying in from all across the globe.
Dress code in practice
Strikingly expressive, dark, and practical. The crowd heavily favors Berlin-inspired all-black club gear, heavy leather harnesses, fishnets, mesh tops, and full-blown creative fetish outfits.
Staff inclusion
The venue operates highly robust, dedicated welfare spaces, roving medical squads, and active on-site community safety teams to ensure the massive warehouse remains a completely safe, consensual, and fiercely inclusive rave sanctuary for the community.
