About this venue

Pull up a mismatched chair and prepare to get thoroughly charmed, dolls, because Bar Flexas Mallorca is the absolute bohemian, kitsch-drenched grandmother of Palma's queer social scene. Holding down an iconic street corner in the historic, artsy Sa Gerreria neighborhood (what used to be Palma's old Chinatown), this legendary venue possesses a hospitality license dating all the way back to 1944! Revamped in 2004 by a fierce trio including Spanish drag/pop royalty Pepa Charro (La Terremoto de Alcorcón), it is a spectacularly quirky meeting place where traditional Mallorcan tapas beautifully crash into retro neon aesthetics, camp pop classics, and outrageous live drag shows.

Venue intelligence

Know before you go

Typical queue

You won't face standard nightclub lines at the door, but because it operates heavily as a beloved culinary hotspot, snagging one of the coveted tables during peak weekend dinner rushes requires a strategic reservation or a 15–20 minute wait at the bar.

Best night

21:00 to 23:30 on Fridays or Saturdays. This is when the kitchen is slinging masterclass octopus curry and local sobrasada tapas to a beautifully buzzed, high-energy crowd right before the impromptu pop singalongs and drag theatrics completely take over the floor.

Locals vs visitors

A genuinely spectacular, cross-generational tapestry of local Mallorcan queer icons, bohemian artists, trans travelers, international foodies, and older gay couples who treat this spot like their neighborhood living room.

Dress code in practice

Artistically expressive, vintage-chic, or casually creative. Think fun graphic prints, retro statement pieces, or breezy summer layers—leave the rigid dress codes at the mega-clubs.

Staff inclusion

Elite standard. Officially recognized and celebrated across the island as an explicit transgender safe space and an LGBTQ+ friendly anchor, the venue champions community protection in its very bones.
