First-Sunday Pride quiz when confirmed, or a weekday pint for the old-pub atmosphere. Choose elsewhere for dancing. Recent local posts specifically suggest it when central pubs are too crowded, although that quietness comes with a more variable welcome.

Longtime Old Market drinkers, LGBTQ+ locals, older regulars, quiz teams and mixed visitors. It feels less student-led and less designed than Frogmore Street, which some guests love and others read as insular.
